Order Manager is what puts the live Orders queue on this device. It is switched on per device, so a handheld used only for taking payment can leave it off.
1. Open the settings
Tap More in the bottom bar, then Order Manager under Settings.
While Enable Order Manager is off, everything else on the screen is greyed out and there is no Orders tab in the bottom bar.
2. Turn it on
Tap the Enable Order Manager switch. The rest of the screen becomes available and an Orders tab appears in the bottom bar.
Tip: The description reads "Turn off to save battery on devices that don't manage orders". On a busy floor, leave it on only for the devices that actually work the queue.
3. Order handling
Auto-fire to Kitchen sends orders to the kitchen automatically, without anyone accepting them first.
Kitchen Order Printing prints a ticket when an order is sent to a preparation station.
4. Where tickets print
With Kitchen Order Printing on, you choose where each ticket goes.
Default print mode for unassigned items covers items not routed to any preparation station.
Preparation stations lists each station in your store, for example Drinks and Kitchen. Tap one to set its own print mode.
Each row shows which printer it uses and how much it prints, for example Default printer and All items.
5. Notifications
Sound Alerts plays a sound when orders arrive or change stage.
Sound Selection picks which sound.
Alert on Status chooses which stages make a sound. Tap the chips (Pending, Accepted, In preparation, Ready for pickup, Completed, Canceled) to turn each one on or off.
Tip: Most counters only want Pending alerting, so staff hear new orders and are not interrupted by every stage change.
