A deposit records cash you have taken out of the drawer to be banked or handed over. Recording it keeps the drawer figure honest and lets the day be closed out cleanly.

1. Open Deposit

Tap the Cash Deposit tile on the Home screen, or go to More and tap Cash Deposit.

  • The date chip in the top right sets which day you are looking at.

  • Unreconciled is the total that has been deposited but not yet matched off.

  • Deposits already recorded for the day are listed underneath.

2. Create a deposit

  1. Tap Create deposit.

  2. Enter the amount you are taking out of the drawer.

  3. Add any reference your store uses, for example a bank slip number.

  4. Confirm to record it.

Note: Record the deposit at the moment you physically remove the cash. Recording it later makes the drawer look wrong in between.

3. Keep deposits reconciled

Deposits are one of the checks in Close Out Day. That check passes only when every deposit for the day has been reconciled, so tidy up any outstanding ones before closing.
