Shifts

Start and end your shift so your sales are recorded against you.

A shift records the period you were working and ties the sales you took to your name. You must have a shift running before you can take orders.

1. Check whether a shift is running

Look at the blue header on the Home screen.

  • No Active Shift on the right means you have not started yet. The Quick Order tile is greyed out, and a Shift not started banner sits at the bottom of the screen.

  • A Duration figure means a shift is running and shows how long you have been on it.

2. Start your shift

  1. Tap Start Shift in the banner at the bottom of the Home screen.

  2. The banner disappears, the header switches to Duration, and Quick Order becomes available.

3. End your shift

At the end of your working period, end the shift so the totals close off against your name.

  1. Open the shift from the Home screen header.

  2. Choose to end the shift and confirm.

  3. If you have a cash drawer open, you will be asked to count it. See Cash Drawer.

Tip: Shifts are also how Order History can be filtered. Filtering by shift is the quickest way to check what a particular person sold.

Open shifts stop the day being closed out. If Close Out Day shows pending shifts, they have to be ended first.
