Once the cart is correct, tap Start Payment to take the customer's money. This guide covers choosing a method, taking cash, and what to do after the sale is recorded.
1. Pick a payment method
The Pick Payment method screen groups the methods your store accepts under a heading for each group, for example Cash, EDC, and Default.
The tabs across the top jump to a group. The same groups are listed down the screen.
Cash is money taken at the counter.
EDC methods are taken on a card terminal, for example Credit Card or PromptPay.
The bar at the bottom shows the item count and the order type. Tap the arrow to expand it and check the order again.
Tip: To apply a promotion, tap the percent icon in the top right before choosing a method. See Discounts and Promotions.
2. If you see "No cash drawer"
An orange No cash drawer chip means no cash drawer is open on this device, so the app cannot track cash yet.
If you tap Cash anyway, the app stops you with a message: Opening Cash Balance. You can't accept cash payments until the starting balance is recorded. You have two ways out.
Open Cash Drawer takes you straight to the starting balance screen. Count the money in the drawer, enter it, then come back and finish the sale. See Cash Drawer.
Change Payment Method returns you to the list so you can take the money another way, for example on the card terminal.
3. Take a cash payment
Tap Cash. The cash screen shows the total due at the top.
Enter what the customer handed you. Tap the quick amounts above the number pad (+฿20, +฿100, +฿500, +฿1,000) to add notes up, or type the exact figure on the number pad.
Amount received updates as you go, and Change to return shows what to hand back. Both change with every tap, so you can read the change straight off the screen.
Tap the backspace key to correct a mistake.
Tap Confirm cash payment.
Confirm cash payment stays greyed out until the amount received covers the total due. If the button will not respond, the figure you entered is still short.
4. Finish the sale
The confirmation repeats the Total Due, the Amount Received, and the Change to Return. Hand over the change, then choose what to do next.
Print prints the customer's receipt.
Full tax invoice issues a tax invoice for this order. See Full Tax Invoice.
Back to quick order returns you to the menu, ready for the next customer.
The sale is now recorded and you can find it again in Order History.
