1. The Order Screen

When you open the quick order, you land on the Quick Order screen. It is divided into three areas:

  • Cart sidebar (left side) — shows the items you have added, an item count, the Subtotal, Vat (Incl), and Grand Total. Two buttons appear at the bottom: No Sale and Start Payment.

  • Category row (top of the main area) — displays product categories as tile cards. Tap a category to filter the product grid below it.

  • Product grid (center of the main area) — shows products as tile cards. If there are more products than fit on one page, page indicators appear so you can swipe or tap to navigate between pages.

A Search bar sits above the category row. The top app bar shows the screen title Quick Order: followed by channel and order-type selectors, plus buttons for Order Note and Membership.

2. Choosing an Order Type

The order type tells the kitchen and staff how the order will be fulfilled. Available types depend on your store configuration.

  1. On the Quick Order screen, locate the order-type dropdown in the top app bar (next to the channel selector).

  2. Tap the dropdown to see the available options:

    • Dine-In — customer eats in the restaurant.

    • Take Away — customer picks up the order and leaves.

    • Delivery — order is sent to the customer's location.

    • Drive-Thru — customer collects the order from a drive-thru lane.

    • Curbside — customer waits outside and staff brings the order to them.

  3. Tap the desired order type. The selection updates immediately and applies to the current order.

Tip: If the order-type dropdown is not visible, your store may only support one order type, which is applied automatically.

2. Browsing Products by Category

  1. Look at the category tiles at the top of the product grid.

  2. Tap a category tile to filter the grid and display only the products in that category.

  3. The selected category is highlighted. Products update immediately below.

  4. If categories span more than one page, swipe left or right through the category row to see additional categories.

  5. Tap a product tile to add it to the cart. The item appears in the cart sidebar on the left.

3. Searching for a Product

  1. Tap the Search bar at the top of the product area.

  2. Type part or all of the product name. Results update automatically as you type.

  3. Matching categories and products are displayed, with matching text highlighted.

  4. Tap a product tile in the results to add it to the cart.

  5. To clear your search, tap the X icon inside the search bar. The screen returns to the full category and product view.

  6. If no results are found, you will see the message "We couldn't find any items with that name" with a Reset search button.

4. Scanning a Barcode

The POS supports barcode scanning for faster product entry. A compatible barcode scanner must be connected to your device.

  1. Make sure the search bar is not focused (tap outside it first). The scanner is active whenever the product grid is visible.

  2. Scan the barcode on the product packaging.

  3. The POS matches the barcode to a product and adds it to the cart automatically.

  4. If the product has required modifiers, the customization screen opens so you can complete the selection before the item is added.

Note: Scanning is paused while the search bar is active or while a dialog is open. It resumes automatically when you return to the product grid.

5. Customizing an Item (Modifiers)

When you tap a product that has modifier groups (e.g., size, toppings, extras), the Quick Order customization screen opens.

  1. Modifier groups appear as tiles in the top section (e.g., "Size", "Milk Type", "Toppings"). Each group shows a badge indicating the selection rule:

    • Optional — no selection required.

    • Optional (max X) — you may pick up to X options.

    • Pick X — you must select exactly X options.

    • Pick at least X — you must select a minimum of X options.

    • Pick X, max Y — you must select between X and Y options.

  2. Tap a modifier group to view its options in the grid below.

  3. Tap an option tile to select it. Selected options are highlighted. Some options display an additional price (e.g., "+฿15").

  4. If a modifier group has more options than fit on one page, use the page indicator to navigate.

  5. When all required modifier groups are satisfied, the Confirm button becomes active.

  6. Tap Confirm to add the customized item to the cart.

  7. To leave without adding, tap Cancel.

  8. To remove the item entirely, tap Remove.

6. Adding an Item Note

You can attach a special instruction to a single item (e.g., "no ice", "extra spicy").

  1. On the customization screen, tap the Note button in the header bar.

  2. The Add Item Note dialog opens.

  3. Under Quick note, tap any pre-set tag (such as Take-away) to toggle it on or off.

  4. Under Write the item note, type a custom note (up to 40 characters). The placeholder text reads "Allergies, Preparation method, etc."

  5. Tap Apply note to save the note to the item.

  6. To close without saving, tap Back.

7. Adjusting Quantity

You can change the quantity of an item on the customization screen.

  1. Tap the product in the cart sidebar to open the customization screen.

  2. In the header bar, locate the quantity picker (displays the current number with - and + buttons).

  3. Tap + to increase the quantity or - to decrease it. The minimum quantity is 1.

  4. Tap Confirm to save the updated quantity to the cart.

8. Adding an Order Note

An order note applies to the entire order rather than a single item (e.g., "birthday party", "deliver to back entrance").

  1. On the Quick Order screen, tap the Order Note button in the top app bar (pencil icon).

  2. The Add Order Note dialog opens.

  3. Under Write the order note, type your note (up to 200 characters). The placeholder text reads "Allergies, Preparation method, Channel etc."

  4. Tap Apply note to save the note to the order.

  5. To close without saving, tap Back.
