Event Metrics

Check the running totals Okya keeps for each member, which tiers and segments read.

An event metric is a running total that Okya keeps for every member. Tiers read these totals. For loyalty, the one that matters is how many points a member has earned.

1. Find the points totals

Go to Settings › Event Metrics and search for Customer POINTS. For a currency with the code POINTS there are two: Customer POINTS Granted Points and Customer POINTS Balance. Tiers use Customer POINTS Granted Points.

2. Read how the total is built

Open Customer POINTS Granted Points. The settings read like a sentence: add up (Sum Aggregation) the amount of every points entry (point_transaction.created), keep one total per member (Customer, customer_id), for all time and for the current year (Time windows: Lifetime and Calendar year).

3. Check what counts

Scroll down to Filters. Only points entries that match all three filters count.

  • type = grant,revoke

  • currency = POINTS

  • source_type = Event

Points given by an incentive show Action Grant and Issue Event in Points Transfers, so they count. Points added by hand show Action Adjust and Issue User, so they do not count.

Note: Because of this, points added by hand do not move a member up a tier.

Important: Change these settings only with Okya's help. Every tier that uses this total reads the change.
