An incentive gives points, or a reward, automatically when something happens, such as an order being completed. Older guides called these earning rules. Each incentive has three tabs: Details (when it runs), Rules (which orders or members count) and Actions (what the member gets).
1. Create an incentive
Go to Incentives and click New Incentive.
Enter a Name and a Description. Both are required.
Type the Trigger exactly, for example order.completed. The full list is in step 6.
Set Starts at and Ends at. Both are required. For an always-on rule, pick a far end date.
Leave Limits empty for no limit, or set Limit per customer and Total limit.
Click Save.
2. Add what the member gets
Open the Actions tab and click New Incentive Action.
Set Type to Currency, Currency to POINTS and Amount to 1.
Set Per amount spent to 25. The member then gets 1 point for every full 25 THB of the order. Part amounts are dropped, so a 348 THB order earns 13 points. Leave it empty to give the amount once, whatever the member spends.
Click Save.
Other action types: Reward gives a reward, Tags adds tags to the customer, Badge gives a badge, and Trigger Event starts another event.
3. Publish it
Open the ⋯ menu, choose Submit, then Yes. Open it again, choose Publish, then Yes. Only Published incentives give points. Use Unpublish to switch one off without deleting it.
Note: The list shows each incentive's trigger and status. A campaign can stay Draft until launch day.
4. Give a welcome bonus
Create another incentive with Trigger customer.created and Limit per customer 1. Add a Currency action of 50 POINTS and leave Per amount spent empty. Publish it.
Important: The welcome bonus runs for every new customer profile, including profiles created by an import. Unpublish it while you import members from another system, or every imported member gets 50 extra points.
5. Run a campaign with rules
Example: double points on the new menu.
Create an incentive on order.completed with the campaign's start and end dates.
Open the Rules tab, click New Incentive Rule, set Type to Taxon and pick the menu category. Match policy any means the order needs at least one item from it.
Add a Currency action of 1 point per 25 THB. It adds to your everyday earning rule, so members get 2 points per 25 THB on those orders.
Keep it Draft until launch day, then publish it.
Other rule types: product variants, stores, store categories, store devices, channels, payment methods, order types, minimum order total, minimum quantity, time bounds, date lists, specific customers, segments, tiers and badges.
6. Triggers
Type the trigger name exactly as shown.
order.completed: an order is completed. Use this for earning points.
customer.created: a customer profile is created. Use this for a welcome bonus.
order.accepted, order.in_progress, order.ready_for_pickup, order.delivering, order.canceled: the order reaches that status. These are listed under Settings › Event Types.
Note: Every Published incentive that matches runs. Two incentives on order.completed both give points.
Note: Per amount spent counts the whole order total after discounts, not only the items that matched a rule. Delivery fees are currently included.
