The Merchant App has a new update, 1.20. Each section links to the full step-by-step guide in the Merchant App manual.

Add a printer by its IP address

Some printers never show up in the discovery list even when they are switched on and on the store network. Staff can now add them by hand, without a site visit.

  • In Settings > Printer, tap Add printer and enter the printer's name, IP address, print type and paper size.

  • The printer appears alongside the discovered ones. It can be connected, set as the default, and assigned to a preparation station.

  • An address that cannot be reached is rejected with a reason, and the same address is never added twice.

  • Manually added printers stay after a Refresh Printer and after the app restarts, and can be removed at any time.

Search before adding an invoice profile

The Full Tax Invoice screen no longer offers Add new invoice profile the moment it opens, so cashiers cannot skip the search and create a second profile for a customer who already has one.

  • Enter the full phone number or Tax ID first. Matching profiles are listed; if nothing matches, the Add new invoice profile button appears.

  • The number or Tax ID you searched is pre-filled in the new profile form.

  • Clearing or changing the search hides the button again until the next search.

Pull down to refresh, on every screen

Every list in the app can be refreshed from where staff are standing, and a refresh fetches from the server instead of showing the cached copy again.

  • Pull down on any stock list (purchase orders, purchase requests, transfers, adjustments, counts, stock requests, waste logging, manufacturing orders), on shifts, cash deposits, Close Out Day, promotions, employees, payment methods and manager approvals.

  • A spinner shows while the refresh is running. If it fails, the app says so and keeps what was on screen.
