1. What Is the Second Screen?
Some POS devices (such as the iMin Swan 2 Pro) have a built-in second display that faces the customer. While you take orders on the main screen, the second screen shows a rotating slideshow of promotional images. This keeps customers engaged and helps highlight current offers.
2. How It Works
The second screen starts automatically. There is nothing you need to turn on or configure at the register.
Make sure the POS device is powered on and the POS app is open.
If the device has a connected secondary display, the app detects it during startup and activates the second screen on its own.
The promotional images begin playing as soon as the POS finishes loading.
If no secondary display is connected, the feature is simply skipped -- it does not affect normal POS operation.
3. What the Customer Sees
The second screen displays a full-screen image carousel:
Brand splash -- While the POS is loading, the second screen shows your brand logo on a branded background.
Image carousel -- Once the POS has finished loading, the screen switches to a slideshow of promotional images. Each image is shown for approximately 7 seconds before it transitions to the next one.
Continuous loop -- The slideshow repeats automatically and runs for as long as the POS is open. No staff interaction is required.
The images shown on the second screen are pulled from a collection configured in the Okya Admin Panel. For instructions on adding, scheduling, and removing images, see How to Set Up Second Screen Images.
4. Troubleshooting
Issue | What to do |
Second screen stays black | Restart the POS app. If the problem persists, check that the secondary display is properly connected to the device. |
Wrong images are showing | The images are managed by your admin team. Let your manager know so they can update the collection. |
Only the brand logo appears | The promotional collection may be empty or the images may have expired. Ask your manager to check the collection content. |
