Note: Direct image upload from the Collection editor is not yet supported. You must upload images to Media Assets first and copy the URL from there.

Step 1: Upload the Image to Media Assets

  1. Log in to the Okya Admin Panel.

  2. In the left sidebar, click CMS to expand the section.

  3. Click Media Assets.

  4. Click New Media Asset in the top-right corner.

  5. Click the upload widget and select your image file. Use landscape orientation, recommended size 1920×1080 px.

  6. Fill in the Name field (e.g. "Second screen – summer promo").

  7. Click Save.

  8. After saving, left the asset by clicking on it from the Media Assets list

  9. Copy image address

Step 2: Add the Image to the Second Screen Collection

  1. In the left sidebar under CMS, click Collections.

  2. Open the collection that is linked to your POS second screen. Your system administrator will know its name. If you are unsure, contact your Okya account manager.

  3. Click New Item.

  4. Fill in the fields:

Field

Required

Description

imageUrl

Yes

Paste the URL you copied from Media Assets.

displayOrder

No

Controls the order images appear. Lower numbers appear first. Leave blank to append to the end.

duration

No

How many seconds to show this image before advancing to the next. Defaults to 7 seconds if left blank.

startAt

No

Date and time when this image should start appearing. Leave blank to show immediately.

endAt

No

Date and time when this image should stop appearing. Leave blank to show indefinitely.

  1. Click Save.

Note: The POS only shows items that have an imageUrl and are within their startAt/endAt window. Items without an image URL are silently skipped.

Editing or Removing an Image

  • To update an image, open the Collection Item, change the fields you need, and save.

  • To remove an image immediately, delete the item or set its endAt to a past date and time.

  • To hide an image temporarily, set startAt to a future date.

Controlling Display Order

Items are sorted by displayOrder in ascending order (1 appears before 2). Items with no displayOrder value appear after all numbered items. To reorder the slideshow, update the displayOrder value on each item.

When Changes Take Effect

The POS fetches the collection during startup. Changes you make here will appear the next time the POS app is launched. If the POS is already running, restart the app on the device to load the updated images.
