Important: Before following this guide you must create at least one Menu Category using Okya's Taxonomies feature. To do so follow the guide How to Create Menu Categories Using Taxonomies.
1. Fill Product Name
Enter the product name.
2. Fill SKU Identifier
Enter the SKU to uniquely identify the product.
3. Fill Product Slug
Enter the slug for URL usage.
4. Add Product Description
Enter the description: Crispy wings tossed in our signature Inferno Honey Glaze — a bold blend of fiery chili heat and sweet golden honey. Available in 6 or 12 piece portions. Not for the faint of heart!
5. Fill Product Price
Enter the price as 12.99 to define the product cost.
6. Fill Display Price
Enter the display price as 14.99 to show the customer-facing price.
7. Set Enabled Status
Enable the product and make it active in the system.
8. Set Visibility
Enter 1 to make the product visible to customers on the storefront.
9. Fill Display Order
Set the product's display priority among other items.
10. Fill Product Categories
Select the desired product category to classify the product appropriately, in this case Wings.
11. Select relevant Option Types
Select relevant Option types for product.
12. Select Sales Channels
Enter the sales channels including Kiosk, POS, and Storefront to determine where the product is available for purchase.
13. Fill Tax Categories
Enter the tax categories such as Alcohol Tax and Default to apply appropriate tax rules.
14. Fill Vendor Selection
Select the vendor to assign product suppliers.
15. Fill Meta Title
Enter the meta title as Inferno Honey Glazed Wings The Pizza Place for search optimization.
16. Fill Meta Keywords
Enter keywords such as wings, honey glazed wings, spicy wings, inferno wings, chicken wings, pizza place wings to improve search visibility.
17. Fill Meta Description
Enter the meta description: Order our Inferno Honey Glazed Wings — crispy chicken wings with fiery chili and sweet honey glaze. Available in 6 or 12 piece portions at The Pizza Place.
18. Fill out description
Click the Description field once more to ensure the content is correctly entered.
19. Save Product
Click the Save button to finalize and store the new product listing in Okya.
You have successfully created and configured a new product listing in Okya, including detailed descriptions, pricing, categories, and SEO metadata. Next, you can manage inventory or promote your product through available sales channels.
